Company Vehicles and the Smoking Ban |
It is now an offence to smoke or to permit smoking in all enclosed public spaces and workplaces - INCLUDING VEHICLES USED FOR WORK PURPOSES.
- The law now requires certain categories of vehicle to be 'smoke free' and these vehicles now have to carry no-smoking signs and it is now illegal to smoke in them at any time.
- All vehicles that are used at work by more than one person have to be smoke free at all times, even if this use is at different times or only intermittent. Almost all commercial vehicles, vans, company cars, and pool cars therefore have to be smoke free.
